William “Mr. Charlie” Charles Roberts

William Charles “Mr. Charlie” Roberts, 88, of Gray, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel with the Reverends John Haney and Jason Dillard officiating.  The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clinton United Methodist Church, c/o Ms. Judy Comer, 324 Old Hwy. 18, Gray, GA 31032.

Son of the late Colquitte George and Clara Louise Barker Roberts, Mr. Charlie was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church for over 40 years.  He retired from Southern Bell and has been associated with Roberts Timber Company ever since.  Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Butts Roberts; grandson, Christopher Roberts; and sister, Gloria Mason.

Mr. Charlie is survived by his children, Teresa Belflower (Mark), William Mark Roberts (Amber), and Timothy George Roberts, all of Gray; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and niece, Susan Welsh.
