William Kenneth Eidam, 82, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, in the Columbarium at Riverside Cemetery, with the Reverend John Wood officiating.
William was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Karl and Earline Eidam. He was a 1959 graduate of Columbus High School, where he was a member of the Blue Devil marching band. He went on to graduate from Woodrow Wilson Law School. Early in his career he proudly served his community in law enforcement as a Georgia State Patrol Trooper. Later he worked as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance.
William loved the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, but more than anything he loved his family. There was so much love and no regrets.
In addition to his parents Earline and Karl Eidam, William was preceded in death by his brother, Karl Eidam II, his sister, Deidre Brannon, and his wife of 49 years, Patricia Greene Eidam.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Deborah Rhea Eidam of Macon, Kelli Marguerite Stokes of Macon, and Van Bradford Strickland of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, William James Stokes and Emma Grace Stokes; sisters-in-law, Barbara Sue Greely (Dennis) of Opelika, Alabama, and Barbara Eidam of Marietta, Georgia.
