Wayne Paul McIntyre, 77, of Macon, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Scott Winchel officiating.
Son of the late Eugene James and Alice Louise Chateauneuf McIntyre, Wayne earned bachelor’s degrees at Bluefield State University and Christopher Newport University, and a master’s degree in government contracting at the Florida Institute of Technology. He retired from Northrop Grumman after 30 years and then enjoyed working as a realtor at Coldwell Banker Access Reality for the past 11 years.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carmel McIntyre of Macon; son, Christopher Wayne McIntyre (Marion) of Macon; stepchildren, Robert John Burt (Elina), Alina Steven (Andy), Linda Burt, Sasha Burt, and Martin Adrian Burt of Johannesburg, South Africa; grandchildren, Stella and Campbell McIntyre; sister-in-law, Lavon McIntyre; niece, Sherry Grubbs, and nephew Riley Grubbs.
Wayne was preceded in death by his twin brother, Malcolm Henry McIntyre.
