Virginia Archer Jones

Ms. Virginia Archer Jones, 89, of Gray, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 2:00PM, at Elam Baptist Church, with Reverend Gary Thomas officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at West View Cemetery in Wrightsville, Georgia.   

Ms. Jones worked as a nurse for 24 years.  She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time in her garden.  Ms. Jones loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Ms. Jones is preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Jones.  She is survived by her son, Joel H. (Angela) Jones; daughter, Gina Jones (Robert) Smith; sisters, Sally Brantley, and Pat Archer Tilson; sister-in-law, Patricia Archer; brothers, Cohen (Susan) Archer and Herman (Jeanette) Archer; grandchildren, Sherri (Brandon) Evans, Mason Hatcher, Chaley Smith, Richard (Stormy) Evans, Justin (Jamie) Evans; and nine great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Rd, Gray, GA 31032.
