Tracey Lynn Gunnells

Tracey Lynn Gunnells, 53, of Jones County, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 2, 2021.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Dr. Ron McClung officiating.  The family will greet friends prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Tracey was born in Macon and a graduate of Jones County High School.  She loved making cotton candy and candied apples.  Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays and she loved cooking.  She worked at Stone Brooke Assisted Living as a resident service assistant, winning an award, as well as the activity director.  Tracey was preceded in death by her son, Mark Gunnells and father, Kenneth Bucher.

Tracey is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Gunnells of Jones County; son, Landon Gunnells of Jones County; mother, Haroldene Bucher of Jones County; brothers, Kerry Bucher (Vivian) and Mike Bucher of Gray; and sister, Denise Mobley of Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
