Teresa Childs Ridgway

Teresa Childs Ridgway, 60, of Gray, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.  The family will greet friends Friday, September 18, 2020 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  Graveside will be private at James Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffrey Campbell Evans Foundation, P.O. Teresa was a life-long resident of Jones County, graduating from Jones County High School in 1977.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.  Certified to teach special education and gifted education for K-12, she taught in Jasper and Baldwin County, eventually, retiring in Jones County.  She loved the beach, her children, her grandchildren, and cooking.

Teresa is survived by her children, Jason Johnson, Chad Ridgway, Kaitlynn Stanford (David), all of Gray; grandchildren, Luke and Zoey Stanford; siblings, Tammy Childs Ashurst of Madison, Georgia, Donald Weiche (Amy), Tracy Quarles of Tallahassee, Florida, and Adam Weiche (Annette) of Macon.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Barbara Ann Weiche.
