Sylvia Jones Wallace

Sylvia Jones Wallace, 81, of Gordon, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  The family will greet friends at Hart’s, Friday, December 2, 2022, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Burial will follow the service at Elam Memorial Gardens.

Daughter of the late Eddie B. Jones and Willie Mae Purvis Wyatt, Sylvia will be most remembered for her sweet gentle spirit and willingness to help others. She very much enjoyed cooking and having the family around the table.  She also enjoyed traveling with friends and spending holidays with family.  She loved being a beautician, a career that spanned about 45 years.  Sylvia attended A.L. Miller High School and graduated from Macon Technical School of Cosmetology in 1972. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gordon, as well as a member of the choir and WMU.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Dale Wallace (Margaret) of Gordon, and Kim Bridges (Darrell) of Macon; grandchildren, Dustin Wallace (Chelsey) of Gordon, Daniel Bridges (Megan) of Gray, Taylor Bridges (Kristina Cook) of Macon, and Allie Hunnicutt (Bradley) of Gray; great grandchildren, Colton Wallace, Ford Bridges, Boone Bridges, Olivia Bridges, and Emma Pobst; and loving companion, Alex Rivera of Gordon.
