Ruth Moseley King, 95, of Macon, GA, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Church Cemetery, Knoxville, Georgia with the Reverend John Irwin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Glen Ministries, Inc., 4580 N. Mumford Rd., Macon, GA 31210.
Daughter of the late William Edgar and Caro Estelle Peavy Moseley, Mrs. King was a devoted wife and took great pride in being a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her family in the tasks of cooking, sewing, canning, and decorating her home. Ruth lived a quiet yet busy life with her husband and was known to have a wry wit. She was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church and while in Virginia, she was active in Purcellville United Methodist Church, especially the music department. Mrs. King looked forward to celebrations and holidays because she was able to spend time with her beloved family. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Reverend Semon George Depew King; and five siblings, Fannie Lacey, Harwell Moseley, Wilfred Moseley, Janie Akridge, and Dot Suttle.
Mrs. King is survived by her daughters, Caro King Shanahan (Jake) of Sandy Springs, Georgia, Donna Milling (Philip) of Austin, Texas, and Kate King of Macon; grandchildren, Laura Munn (Chad) of Dunwoody, Georgia, Chris Milling (Trish) of Cedar Park, Texas, and Alex Milling (Jen) of Round Rock, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Munn, Brodie Munn, Lorelei Milling, Jonah Milling, and Rowan Milling.
