Rosalyn Harrison Newberry

Rosalyn Harrison Newberry, 85, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with Dr. Jimmy Asbell officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rosalyn graduated from Tennille High School in 1955, where she was a cheerleader and Miss Tennille High School.  She formerly worked for Dr. Dean L. Holmes in Sandersville, followed by Newberry and Associates as an agent/secretary. Rosalyn loved to shop and spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Rosalyn is survived by her husband of 34 years, A. Raines Newberry Sr., of Macon; five children: Jimmy Ray Smith (Susan E.), of Tennille, Georgia, Cynthia Rosalyn Tate (Eddie), of Mitchell, Georgia, A. Raines Newberry, Jr., of Macon, Georgia, Paige Newberry Fulk (Chad), of Macon, Georgia, and David Newberry (Chalese), of Macon, Georgia; twelve grandchildren:  William Smith, Ross Smith, Cliff Smith, Alex Newberry, Matt Newberry, Macaden Fulk, Halen Fulk, Cannon Newberry, Carson Newberry, Lawson Newberry, Lexi Newberry, and Charlie Raines Newberry; great grandchildren: Abbie Smith, Allie Smith, Charlie Rae Smith, and Riggs Smith; and brother, William Dewey Harrison, Jr. (Janice), of Marietta, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Rosalyn Brittney Callaway, and Robert Clayton Renfroe; and parents, William Dewey Harrison, Sr. and Maggie Tapley Harrison.
