Robert "Mike" Michael Ousley

Robert Michael Ousley, beloved husband and devoted Mason, passed away from the world Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 74 in Macon, Georgia.

He was a devoted husband to Karen Yarbrough Ousley; dearest father to Matthew Ousley (Katie); grandfather to Caroline; brother to Becky McNeely (Alan); and uncle to Megan Talbot (Joey), Jessica Morrison (Josh) and Katherine Sherk (Andrew).

Mike was born on May 2, 1948, and raised in the Myers Park neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a proud alumnus of Appalachian State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order.

Mike was known to be the life of every party and loved by anyone he met. He loved watching App State Football, Duke Basketball and spending time with his family and friends. He was a long-time member of Phalanx Lodge #31 where he rose in rank and became a 32° Freemason.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd George and Annie Ruth (Ingram) Ousley and a brother, Ingram Ousley.

The family will host a celebration of life at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 12, 2022. The family will welcome friends and guests immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Healthcare at Scottish Rite, 1001 Johnson Ferry Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.

Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
