Richard Jefferson Couch, age 56, of Marietta, Georgia, was the youngest child of Nathaniel J. Couch and Virginia Thompson Couch of Macon, Georgia. Jeff attended First Presbyterian Day School, where he loved playing football. He received a degree in Architecture from Southern Polytechnic State University and became a registered Architect in the State of Georgia. He was a Senior Associate and Partner at Robertson Loia Roof, LLC, and specialized in educational facilities. Jeff was a gentle giant who loved playing guitar and golf. Being a lifelong Grateful Dead fan, he would want each of you to, “have a grateful day”.
Jeff was proceeded in death by his father Jack and his mother Virginia. He is survived by his daughters Lara Cassidy Couch of Marietta, Georgia and Margaret Ellen Adams, of San Francisco, California. He was married to Lesley Moyses Couch for 23 years. His brother Nat Couch (Kimberley) of Aiken, SC, sister Jenny Couch (Fehmi Dogan) of Izmir, Turkey, and nephews Greer Couch, Cooper Couch, and Baris Dogan survive Jeff from across the world.
The family will welcome relatives and close friends on Saturday, March 11th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hart's at the Cupola in Macon and on Sunday, March 12th in Marietta. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
