Patricia G. Steed

Patricia G. Steed, 68, of Round Oak, Georgia, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Sunshine United Methodist Church with the Reverend Deborah Wallace officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine UMC Cemetery Fund, 2135 Monticello Highway, Hillsboro GA 31038 or United in Pink of Macon, 1515 Bass Rd Ste H, Macon, GA 31210.

Daughter of the late Cyrel Drosky and Rosie Louise Smith Wade, Mrs. Steed was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee.  She moved to Georgia in the early 1980s and worked at Whitfield County Farm Bureau.  She married Mike in 1991 and they moved from Dalton to Round Oak in 1996.  She retired from Farm Bureau in 2021 after 32 years of service. 

Mrs. Steed loved a good yard sale bargain.  She enjoyed refurbishing furniture, crafting, making handmade wreaths, and calligraphy.  She was a cat person but loved her canine friends, as well. 

Mrs. Steed is survived by her husband, Michael David "Mike" Steed of Round Oak, Georgia; children, Brandee Tate McCollum (Matt) of Gray, Georgia, and William Bladen Steed of Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughter, Chesney Tate McCollum of Gray; mother-in-law, Ann Steed of Round Oak; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
