Mylene Stuckey Barfield Davis, 73, of Knoxville, died peacefully, Friday, March 26, 2021, in Warner Robins after a lengthy health battle. Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at First Evangelical Church of Macon. Pastor Tim Long will officiate, and the soloist will be Andrea Grant.
Born in Macon to the late Milton and Mildred Stuckey, she is preceded in death by her sister, Melba Hester. She is survived by her husband, Jim Davis; her daughters Donalyn Barfield Garrick (Matt) of Tifton and Teresa Barfield Hummel (Matt) of Warner Robins; her sister Mardell Balkcom (Gene) of Macon; her stepdaughters Shannon Davis of Milledgeville and Stacy Davis of Roberta; her grandsons Ty, Travis, Ashton, Roman, Dylan, and Thomas; as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Macon, Mrs. Davis lived in South Carolina, Alabama, and several towns in Georgia before ultimately returning to Macon. She worked at the Macon Telegraph 1987-2005 where she was the Administrative Assistant to the editor and was a member of First Evangelical Church in Macon. She was a huge Elvis fan and loved nothing more than a good game of cards.
