Melissa Sue Tipton, a woman of radiant spirit and vibrant creativity, was born on October 15, 1972, in Topeka, Kansas, and gracefully departed this life on October 4, 2023, in Macon, Georgia. Known by many for her infectious personality and elegant style, Melissa had a particular knack for turning any occasion into an event, dressing like a model and always ensuring her hair and nails were immaculately done.
Her home was a reflection of her character, lovingly decorated especially during holidays. A wonderful cook, Melissa's culinary skills added an extra pinch of joy to all gatherings. Melissa's life was also guided by her deep-rooted love for music and dance, often the life of any party, and her free-spirited nature (or as she liked to call her 'gypsy soul').
Melissa’s love for cats was surpassed only by her love for travel. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Melissa is survived by her sons, Stephen Lyninger and Joshua Lyninger, both of Erwin, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Parker, Hudson, Corbin, Adalee, Preston and Scarlett Lyninger; mother, Connie Sue Branham (John Douglas Branham) of Apopka, Florida; brother, Michael Christlieb (Belinda Pullen) of Apopka, Florida; sister, Colleen Ann Adams of Shelton Laural, North Carolina; uncles, Terry Sims of Kissimmee, Florida, Robert Sims (Debbie) of Casselberry, Florida, Joseph Sims (Molly) of Oswego, Illinois and Jim Verbryke of Wapakoneta, Ohio; aunt, Shirley Stumpf of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and longtime partner, Ralph Cano of Macon Georgia.
