Mary Yvonne “Bon” Furney Evans, 65, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street with the Reverends Jeff Grist, Clyde Evans, and David Self officiating. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, PO Box 7718, Macon, GA 31209.
Daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Lizzie Yawn Furney, Bon was a very active member of Living Hope Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School, and children’s Sunday School. She was a college football fan, especially, of the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a people person with a contagious personality, who loved her family and friends. She loved cooking and cleaning.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by brothers, James Furney, and Willis Furney and sister, Barbara Ann Bissinger.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Kenny Evans of Macon; beloved and devoted dog, Baby Girl; sister, Janie Yarbrough (Monroe) of Macon; brother, Doug Furney of Macon; stepdaughter, Amanda Howard (Kris) of Crawford County; and several nieces and nephews.
