Mrs. Mary Louise Stahlman, 81, of Macon, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023. Memorial services will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Parkway Assembly of God at 11:00AM, with the Reverend Byron Campbell officiating.
Mrs. Stahlman was born in Olean, New York and graduated from Bradford High School in Pennsylvania in 1960. Soon after, she went to work at Northwest Savings and Loan and then Penn Bank. She later retired from GEICO after working thirteen years as a claims adjuster.
Mrs. Stahlman met her future husband, Albert, when they were both just fifteen years old. They were married in 1961 and were blessed to have celebrated 62 years together as husband and wife. In 1993, Mr. and Mrs. Stahlman moved to Georgia.
A very intelligent and capable woman, Mrs. Stahlman earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford at the age of fifty. She was creative and had a talent for many crafts, including embroidery, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and making jewelry. She was also a skilled baker, and her friends and family will especially miss her delicious pies and cinnamon rolls. Mrs. Stahlman’s love for children was apparent in the way she faithfully taught Sunday School for more than 16 years. She will be remembered as a diligent prayer warrior with a true servant’s heart.
Mrs. Stahlman is preceded in death by her parents, LaRay and Harriet Bellman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Albert Clair Stahlman, Jr.; son, LaRay Albert Stahlman (Ronda), of Macon; daughters, Becky Jordan (Roger), of Lewis Run, Pennsylvania and April Harriger (Tim), of Macon; grandchildren, Rachel McKnight (Jamie), Parker Stahlman (Caroline), Joshua Davis, Roger Jordan, Ben Jordan, Nicholas Harriger, and Carlie Harriger; great-grandchildren, Knox McKnight, Jadyn Davis, Kennedy Davis, and Jackson Davis; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Ruth Foos (Kenneth), of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Susan Voth, of Ontario, Canada.
