Margaret Carr Belflower of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, January 24, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 11:00AM at Macon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Belflower was born on September 30, 1932, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Columbus Wiley and Annie Maude Hester Carr. She was predeceased by her husband, John Willis Belflower; siblings Aubrey Carr, Sallie Bryan, Stella Webb, Marvin Carr, Judson Carr, Carrie Dunn, Howard Carr, Leecie Jones, Neomia Earn, Juanita Graham and Thelma Daughtrey.
Mrs. Belflower was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother ("MeMa"). She was a bookkeeper for S&S Cafeteria and Macon Iron and Paper. She was a fervent member of Pine Forest Baptist Church before health issues made participation impossible.
Mrs. Belflower is survived by her children Don (Linda) Belflower of McDowell, Virginia; Tim Belflower of Macon, Georgia; Gary (Kristi) Belflower of Dubuque, Iowa; and Judy (Johnny) Belflower Walsh of Macon, Georgia; her grandchildren Becky (Lee) Tharpe Crowe of Richmond, Virginia; Nicole Belflower of Cordova, Tennessee; Emily (Dustin) Walsh Edwards of Danville, Georgia, Johnny (Lily Ponitz) Walsh of Decatur Georgia, Nick (Jessica) Belflower of Bartlett, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren Leah and Addison of Richmond, Virginia; Noah and Claire of Bartlett, Tennessee and Grace Garner of Danville, Georgia.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the providers and staff of Bolingreen Health & Rehabilitation in Macon, Georgia for the loving care provided to Mrs. Belflower over the past 9 years.
