Lynette A. Taylor, 77, of Macon, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Asbury Church Cemetery in Gordon, Georgia, with the Reverend Sam Loyd officiating. The family will greet friends from 5p.m. to 7p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Hart’s at the Cupola.
Lynette worked in the trust department at C&S Bank for over 20 years. She was the pianist at New Haven Baptist Church for over 40 years and was so active in the WMU at her church that she was nicknamed Lottie Moon. Lynette enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, but more than anything she enjoyed going to different restaurants and meeting new people. She was often heard saying that she was going to get in her car and go, go, go.
Lynette is survived by her daughters, Alana Trevitt (Deck) of Macon, and Kelly Mimes, of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren: Bridget Dixon, Katie McCants, Haley Mimes, and Trey Mimes; five great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Russell (Gene); and brother, Sammy Allen, Jr. (Jean.)
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Peter Taylor, and her beloved dog, Smokey.
