Judy was born in Panama City, Florida on June 25, 1942 to the late Julian and Dorothy Kight Murray.  She graduated from Kite High School in 1961.  After graduating from Crandall Business College in Macon, Judy worked as an accountant for Davis Accounting in Gray for nearly forty years.

Judy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Gray for nearly sixty years, where she was a member of Sara B. Sunday School Class. She served in many roles at First Baptist Church, with the music ministry being dearest to her heart and thirty years as Wednesday night supper hostess.  Judy was involved in many social and community activities with her favorite being the Kite Homemakers Club, where she worked to help improve her beloved hometown of Kite.  She also served as Chaplain for many years for the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Oliver Morton Chapter.

Judy was a life-long learner and traveler and used every minute of her days improving herself and the world around her. She was a true Southern lady and a devoted friend.  Judy was entirely dedicated to her husband, Pete, her family, and her Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was a shining example of God’s love to all who knew her.
