Joyce Johnson Barron

Joyce Johnson Barron, 67, of Macon, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hart’s Mortuary or the residence to cover funeral services. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, September 5, 2020 at her residence, 3391 O’Hara Drive South. A balloon release will be held at 3:00PM Friday at her residence.

Born in Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Barron was the daughter of the late Willie and Addie Kate Rivers Johnson.  She retired as a certified nursing assistant from Cherry Blossom Nursing Home and the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  She was a well-known an artist, showing her work at the Cherry Blossom Festival.  Mrs. Barron was very devoted to her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Frank Barron.

Mrs. Barron is survived by her children, Thomas Lee Barron Jurentkcuff of Chelsea, Massachusetts, Addie Jean Lane and husband, Bill, of Macon, Supreamna Ann Sims of Riverdale, Georgia, and Francine Barron of Concord, New Hampshire; brothers, Albert Davis and Dwayne Rivers, both of Macon; sister, Cathy S. Newton of Macon; brother-in-law, Tommy J. Barron, Jr. of Macon; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; long-time, devoted friend, Kevin Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
