Joseph Ricky Tidwell, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Ricky “Rick” Tidwell, 40, of Jones County, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rick was born on September 23, 1983, in Dublin, Georgia and spent his formative years in Jones County, attending Mattie Wells Elementary and Jones County High School.

A man of many passions, Rick had an infectious love for motorcycles and was known to meticulously customize each one with his signature classic blue paint.  

He was known by his friends for his playful spirit, his love for good food, and his ability to bring laughter into any room he entered.  Rick also found immense joy from his companionship with his pit bulls, Tank, Duke, and Moon.   

His memory will be cherished and his laughter echoed, leaving all who knew him with a smile.  Rick will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kelsey Brady, Kenslee, Kyle, and Brooklyn; mother, Robin Flynn of Jones County; father, Ricky Tidwell, Sr., of Twiggs County; sisters, Jessica Trejo, Macon and Amanda Tidwell of Twiggs County, Georgia; brother, Michael Flynn of Jones County; favorite aunt, Lisa Sapp of Dry Branch; and uncle, David Tidwell of Gray, Georgia.
