Jimmie Franklin Clegg

Jimmie Franklin Clegg, 73, went to be with his Lord on May 7, 2011. Mr. Clegg was born in Wadley, Alabama to the late Dolis Sue Lynch (Radford) and James William "J.W." Clegg. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a retired mechanic known for his exceptional ability to fix just about anything with a motor. He loved gardening and was especially proud of his roses.

Mr. Clegg was preceded in death by a son, James David Clegg and is survived by three children: James Michael "Mike" Clegg (Carrie Polm) of Austell, Anita Michelle Cravens (Dennis Foster) of Lawrenceville, Kathy Denise Hall-Gordon of Monroe County, his ex-wife and caregivers Annette Evans (Hubert); his grand children: Sarah Grace Clegg, Christopher Cravens, Aimee H. Cheek (Jamie), and Hillery Hall. Mr. Clegg was very excited about the pending arrival of his first great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Hart's at the Cupola with the Reverend Jimmy Towson officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Hart's at the Cupola. Interment will be private at Bethel Baptist Church, Lizella.
