Jeffery Fred Morris

Jeffery Fred Morris, 61, of Gray, died Saturday, January 9, 2021. Due to COVID-19, a private memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Cherry Street Chapel with the Reverend Creede Hinshaw officiating. Son of the late Claude H. Morris, Sr. and Celia Graham Trammell. Mr. Morris worked at Gates Corporation for 36 years. He was known as “Uncle Jeff” to everyone. He was an avid UGA fan, Grill Master, occasional Champ of the Day at the backyard golf course, and a friend to everyone he met. He always had a ready joke and could create a game out of nothing.

Mr. Morris is survived by his daughter, Brandi Hinshaw (Jeremy); grandsons, Graham Hinshaw and Murphy Hinshaw; brothers, Mike Morris (Cindy) and Greg Trammell; nephews, Tim Morris (Audrey) and Justin Morris; niece, Lindsey Morris and her daughter Charlotte Morris-Bassett; and stepdaughter, Anna Bible (Dana) and their son Barrett Bible.

He was preceded in death by parents, Claude Morris Sr. and Fred and Celia Trammell, and brothers, Ricky Morris and Claude Morris, Jr.
