Jacqueline "Jackie" Chiles Gordon

Jacqueline “Jackie” Chiles Gordon, 78, of Macon, Georgia passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Jackie was born in Macon on August 3, 1944 to the late Jack Chiles and Virginia Spence Chiles. She graduated from Miller High School in 1962. After briefly living in Savannah, she returned to Macon to work in the telecommunications industry where she worked happily for over 40 years. Jackie always considered herself lucky to work with a great group of people that became lifelong friends. Her coworkers kept in touch with her until her final days. Jackie was known for her big heart, great sense of humor, and her fierce loyalty to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Chuck Gordon and Laurie Holder; grandchildren, Collin and Gibson Holder; and brother, John Chiles. She cherished her family. They were her everything.

The family wishes to thank Tammi Wright for helping to take care of Jackie in recent years. Additionally, thank you to the doctors and staff at Piedmont Macon Hospital for making her last days as comfortable as possible.

Jackie supported a variety of charities through volunteerism and resources. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth at P.O. Box 2525, Macon, Georgia 31203.

Jackie requested in her final wishes for no public funeral to occur. The family will host a reception and greet friends at Hart’s at the Cupola located at 6324 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210, on December 15, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
