Jackson Gray Bailey, 27, of Sandy Springs, Georgia was received into God's Kingdom on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Chelle Bailey; his brother, William (Hannah) Bailey; his sister, Madison (Augie) Dellapi; and his nephews, Liam and Alec Bailey. Additional survivors include his aunt, Karen (Johnny) Dawson (Thomaston, Georgia); his uncle, Mark Yarbrough (Gainesville, Georgia); his aunt, Shannon Yarbrough (Decatur, Georgia); his aunt, Lauren (Stephen Townsend) Yarbrough (San Mateo, California); his grandmother, Mary Sanderson (Thomaston, Georgia); his grandfather, Jay Slothower (Aiken, South Carolina); his great aunt, Judy Presley (Gainesville, Georgia); his great uncle, Jimmy Jones (Gainesville, Georgia); and cousins.
Gray is preceded in death by his grandparents, Janet Carol Slothower, Robert C. Yarbrough, Donald Clarence Bailey, and William (Bill) Russell Sanderson.
Gray was born June 9, 1994, in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Augusta, Georgia; and graduated from the University of Georgia Terry College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Gray’s passions included hiking (especially in Highlands, North Carolina), golfing with his dad, camping, fishing, tubing down the river, jumping off waterfalls, and finding adventures wherever he was. He treasured spending time with his family and making random visits to his parents’ and sister’s houses. Gray adored his dog, Murphy, and enjoyed taking him to various dog parks. Gray was always willing to help friends and family, whether it was using his truck to help them move, assisting with home repairs and yard work, or just being there to listen. In his youth, he went on mission trips to Jamaica, competed in cross country running and lacrosse, played the drums, and swam on the swim team.
In his career, he worked at 3Ci in Sandy Springs, Georgia as a Talent Specialist and previously, at MAU Workforce Solutions in Aiken, South Carolina as a Staffing Specialist. He was a brother in Chi Phi Fraternity at the University of Georgia, member of Aiken Young Professionals, and a volunteer at Goodwill Industries.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. The visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the Celebration of Life. Following the service, the burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church, 1372 Atwater Road, Thomaston, Georgia 30286. Immediately following the burial, the family will greet guests at The Bailey House, 858 Harrell Road, Thomaston, Georgia 30286.
