Jack Peterman, Sr.

Jack Peterman, Sr. 77, of Macon, died Tuesday, September 29, 2020.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  The family will greet friends Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s Jones County Chapel.

Son of the late William Judson and Theresa Underwood Hobbs Peterman, Mr. Peterman attended Middle Georgia College and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War.  He was retired from Robins Air Force Base.  Following his retirement, he worked at Northrup Grumman as a sheet metal mechanic for 5 years.  In 2003, he then went on to help his son, Billy Peterman, start his business, Billy’s Mobile Glass.  He loved to hunt and fish. He was a very hard-working, selfless man who was always there to help someone in need.  Mr. Peterman was preceded in death by siblings, Laverne Pate, Clifton Peterman, and Christopher Peterman.

Mr. Peterman is survived by his wife, Patty Peterman of Macon; children, Billy Peterman (Kim) of Gray and Brad Peterman of Lizella, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Engram of Cordele, Georgia and Wanda Rachels Centofanti (Lou) of Atlanta, Georgia; and brother, Michael Peterman (Denease) of Reynolds, Georgia.
