Gertrude "Trudy" Thomason Jones

Gertrude “Trudy” Thomason Jones, 91, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at United Community Church, 2411 Heath Road, Macon, GA 31206.

Trudy was born in Washington, Georgia, to the late James Russell Dunn and Viola Kennedy. She attended Crandall Business College and was a retired receptionist at the offices of Dr. Joe Daniel.  She was a strong woman who worked very hard to support her family.

Trudy is survived by her son, Roy Julian Thomason; daughters, Linda W. Thomason Lee, and Melanie Gail Thomason; grandchildren, Wendy Elizabeth Pheil (David), Tony Sean Lee (Dianna), Heath Smith (Katherine), Madison Smith Kitchens (Seth), Jared Sawyer, Brian Thomason, Brent Thomason, Brett Thomason; and great grandchildren, William Chase Jones, Christopher Seth Jones, Sara A. Broyles, Karissa Lee, Violet Thomason, Luke Thomason, Lula Thomason, Ansley Smith, William Smith, Maddox Kitchens, and Grayson Kitchens.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Gerald Thomason, and brothers Aubrey Dunn, Darden Dunn, and Charles Dunn.
