George Daniel Hudson

George Daniel Hudson, Sr., 89, of Macon, passed away August 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Hart’s at The Cupola. Dr. Richard Kremer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Hart’s at The Cupola. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to The Methodist Home, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203 or Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204.

Mr. Hudson was married 61 years to his high school sweetheart, Pearl Hudson. He retired from the United States Air Force as Master Sergeant after 22 years of service. He then worked for the United States Post Office for 20 years. For relaxation, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was an active member of Vineville Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lamplighter Sunday School Class, of the XYZ Senior Adult Group and the Men’s Fellowship. Mr. Hudson was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Maree Hudson.

Mr. Hudson is survived by daughter, Jerrie K. Hulsey (Jeff); grandchildren, Jessica Ratliff and Danielle Wilcher (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Tyler Ratliff, Crickett Thompson, and Charlee Wilcher; several nieces and nephews; and companion, June Smith.
