Fred Ray White, 69, of Dry Branch, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Stone Creek Baptist Church, 854 Riggins Mill Road in Macon, Georgia, with Pastor Loretta Faulk officiating and friend, Steve Birdsong speaking. Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.
Fred was born in Cedar Grove, Georgia, to the late James Travis White and Myrtle Turner White. He worked hard building and running his construction company, Fred White Construction. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Peggy. Together they enjoyed attending equipment auctions, sitting on the porch watching deer, and they loved to feed people. They also had a great love for Horses. In their younger years, they managed Duckwork Pastures together.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Angel Pike (Tommy), of Dry Branch, Georgia; son, Freddy White, of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Christine Williams, of Lumber City, Georgia, Elaine Dixon (Sam), of Hazelhurst, Georgia, and Betty Barbee (Frank), of Dublin, Georgia; grandchildren, Matthew Pike (Krista), Jordan Pike (Tim), Devin White, Destiny White, and Audrey White; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Pike, Jace Pike, Colton Terrell, and Geneva Terrell.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Rozier White; brothers, Clyde, Ned, Raymond, and Herschel White; and sisters, Imogene Scott, and Alice Livingston.
