Frances Annette Lashley, 82, of Macon, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Lashley was born on April 8, 1939, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late James William Reuel Lashley and Leila Mae Fowler Lashley. She survived the poliovirus at the young age of 12 years old. She attended Burke Elementary school and graduated from A.L. Miller High School in Macon. She was a long-time member of Northside Assembly of God, where she was also the secretary for many years. Ms. Lashley loved spending her time gardening and canning her crops. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, and she spent years researching her family genealogy.
Ms. Lashley is survived by her children; Michael Jespersen (Jean), of Alpharetta, Georgia, Pam Harris (David), of Jackson, Mississippi, Kim Childre, of Gray, Georgia, Todd Jespersen, of Byron, Georgia, Jonathan Jespersen (Michelle), of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Stephanie Riggins (Cole), of Tarpon Springs, Florida; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Julian Lashley (Rachell).
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James E. Lashley; sisters, Shirley Mosely and Doris Connell.
