Faye Marie Boyer Wiggins, 91, of Macon, GA, died peacefully on May 10, 2023, surrounded by her children.
Faye was born in Linton, Georgia on September 14, 1931. She lived most of her life in Macon where she touched many lives as a pianist, organist, piano teacher, children’s Sunday School teacher, and musician at First Baptist Church. One of her proudest accomplishments and greatest joys was leading the First Baptist seniors’ choir, The Grand Chorus, from 1984 until the mid-1990s. Faye was a meticulous worker whether she was preparing and caring for her beautiful flower gardens or rehearsing for the countless weddings and funerals that she played the organ for and choir performances she directed.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, in the First Baptist Church sanctuary. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11:00. Her earthly body will be interred in Linton Community Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.
Faye was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Mack, and her grandson, Marshal Brooks. She is survived by her children, Robert (Donna) Wiggins, Cheryl (Mike) Brooks, and Carol (Kurt) Dieterle; her grandchildren, Joel (Lucy) Wiggins, Mary (Matt) Hof, Heather Calhoun, and Matt Dieterle; and her great-grandchildren, Willow Wiggins, Winslow Hof, and Leah Brooks.
