Everett Collins, 72, of Bolingbroke, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rock Springs Church, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Everett was a faithful member of Rock Springs Church where he served as the maintenance man and Altar Care Worker. His musical talents included being a vocalist, guitarist, and songwriting too. He loved to give his testimony and speak about his love for Jesus. He even authored a book in 2016 entitled “The Two That Carried Me Through” about how Jesus and his wife, Charlotte, helped him through his battles with cancer. Everett loved the outdoors where he went hunting, fishing, and going to the beach. He was also the softball coach for his children and grandchildren. Everett was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan. Following his retirement from Brown and Williamson, he was a home inspector. Everett was born in Clayton, Georgia to the late Julian and Lula Day Collins. He was predeceased by his brother Randy Collins.
Everett is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte Farmer Collins of Bolingbroke; three daughters, Nicole Statham (Scott) of Macon, Jessica Nesmith (Lamar) of Cochran, and Brooke Long (Ashley) of Forsyth; eight grandchildren, Taylor Statham, Stephen Statham, Macy Mendoza (Jorge), Gracie Nesmith, Olivia Nesmith, Makayla Ford, Ella Kate Long, and Collins Long; three great grandchildren, Leila Mendoza, Clayton McNease, and Everett Kane Mendoza; brother, Buddy Collins (Elaine) of Roberta; and two sisters, Lillian Collins and Edith Pruett, both of Macon.
Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of arrangements.
