Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Camp Wyche, 92, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Grand Ballroom at Carlyle Place. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Riverside Cemetery, with Dr. Jimmy Asbell officiating.    

Elizabeth was born on July 15, 1930, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Clyde and Anice Rogers Camp.  She graduated from A.L. Miller High School for Girls in 1948 and attended Mercer University from 1948-1949. She married the love of her life, Roy W. Wyche, Jr. on October 15, 1950. She worked as a secretary at Citizens and Southern National Bank.

Elizabeth was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and the Mack Anthony & Allen Sanders Sunday School Class. She served on the Administrative Board and Altar Guild, and taught Sunday School in the Children’s department.  She was also a member of the Phi Mu Society, Historic Macon Foundation, Bridge Group for over 60 years, and past president of the Hill and Dale Garden Club. She was a resident of Carlyle Place since 2013.  She loved home activities on Lake Sinclair, especially when the Sunday School Class would gather on a Sunday afternoon for food and fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde Henry Camp, Jr. and Gerald Eugene Camp.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 72 years, Roy Wyche, Jr.; children, Neil  Wyche (Robin), Glenn Wyche (Ellen), and Stephen Wyche (Sally); grandchildren: Jessica, Jamie, Laura, Emily, Becky, Natalie, and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Teddy, Susanna, Joy, Garrett, Julie, and David.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vineville United Methodist Church at 2045 Vineville Ave, Macon, GA 31204, or to the charity of donor's choice.
