Dural Leroy Gordon, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, Hart’s at the Cupola, Peake Road, Macon. Family will greet friends following the service.
Born June 21, 1950, he was the son of the late John Robert and Bessie Lucille Cotton Gordon. Dural lived his entire life in Macon, Georgia, where he attended school and was a graduate of Lanier High School.
Dural worked at TexPrint and was employed at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation from the time the plant opened its doors until its closing in Macon.
Those who knew Dural can appreciate how much he loved to play golf with members of his family, including his brothers, and his nephews, Tommy, Robert, and Jamie. Family was always an important part of Dural’s life. He loved country music and cars. He loved Jesus Christ and spent his Sunday mornings attending church at Harvest Cathedral in Macon and Lizella Baptist Church.
Dural is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert, and Bessie Lucille Cotton Gordon; and five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by many beloved family members, including a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
