Delma Eugene Jones, 80, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Plentitude Baptist Church, the reverends Mike Gordon and Tommy Freeman officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Delma was born in Pineview, Georgia, to the late William and Pearl Jones. He was the owner and operator of his electrical contracting business, Delma Jones Electrical, and had been self-employed since 1970. He was a faithful member and deacon of Plentitude Baptist Church, and a Sunday school director. Builders for Christ Mission Trips was his passion. Delma had a strong love for his family, Church, his tractors, and his beloved pet and favorite “child,” Zeke.
Delma is survived by his three daughters, Kristy Pope (Jeff), of Bonaire, Georgia, Kema Bishop (Mark), of Gray Georgia, and Kelli Smith (David), of Gray, Georgia; grandchildren, Steve Pace (Emily), of Gray, Georgia, Erica Beach (Erik), of Warner Robins, Georgia, Austin Ryals, of Gray, Georgia, Seth Ryals, of Gray, Georgia, Megan Heath (TJ), of Gray, Georgia, and Kayla Smith, of Gray, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Williams, Ashlynne Williams, Hunter Pace, Jacob Beach, Rylee Beach, Elijah Beach, Holland Heath, Halle Heath, and Makenzie Joiner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Kay Comer Jones, and nine siblings.
