Charles Miller Brogdon, 86, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, with Father Gary Abbott officiating. Interment will follow the service at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, in Snellville, Georgia, at 3:00 p.m..
Mr. Brogdon was born on October 4, 1934, in Tupelo, Arkansas, to the late Arvel Brogdon and the late Velma Fetzer. He graduated from Herculaneum High School and worked as a Vice President at Citibank for over 25 years. He served on the board of rebuilding Macon-Bibb County planning and zoning, and was president of Haitian Hope, Inc., a 501 C3 charity, supporting a school in the mountains of Haiti. He loved horseback riding and smoking cigars.
Mr. Brogdon is survived by his son, Keith Brogdon; stepsons, Steven and Tim Futrell; stepdaughters, Terry and Jan Futrell; five grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Allen Brogden; and his second wife, Imogene Weaver; sons, Jay Brogden, Doug Brogdon, Matthew Brogdon
