Catherine "Cathy" Denise Arrowood Harris

Catherine Denise Arrowood Harris, affectionately known as Cathy, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023, in her hometown of Macon, Georgia.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 or or Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Rd, Macon, GA 31210.

Born on April 3, 1961, to Bert and Rosa Pauline Bray Arrowood, Cathy's life was defined by her loving nature, faith-filled spirit, and thoughtful devotion to her family, friends, and community.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Charles Harris of Macon, and their daughter, Callie Dossett (Paul) of Kathleen. She is also remembered by her siblings, Tom Arrowood (Jan) of Macon, Harriet Curtis (Ed) of Macon, Patsy Ballard (Larry) of Lizella, Rick Arrowood (Dolly) of Byron, and Robin Sanders (Jeff) of Macon. Her son-in-law's parents, Terry and Cindy Dossett of Unadilla, along with numerous other relatives and family members, also mourn her loss. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and an unborn child.

Cathy's journey with Charles, the love of her life, began in 1994. Their love story was one of deep commitment and mutual respect. After working as a transportation specialist at Robins Air Force Base for 15 years, Cathy chose to be a stay-at-home mother following the birth of their daughter, Callie. The marriage of their daughter in 2023 brought another cherished member into their family, their son, Paul Dossett. Her nurturing spirit and love for her family were evident in her dedication to her role as a mother.

In addition to her family, Cathy's passion for serving her community led her to open Tea Party Time Catering. For nearly 20 years, she delighted the community with her culinary skills and warm hospitality. Her love for cooking was only surpassed by her joy in sharing her creations with others.

Cathy was an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church, where she found great joy in singing in the choir. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she was a beloved member of the church community. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, and love for life were infectious and touched everyone she met.

Cathy's life was a testament to her loving, faith-filled, and thoughtful nature. She was a beacon of love and faith in her family and community, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cathy's life was a beautiful journey marked by love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
