Billy B. Butler

Macon- Billy B. Butler, 66, of Macon, died Friday, January 14, 2011. Services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola with Rabbi Larry Schlesinger officiating. Burial will be in William Wolff Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Al Sihah Shrine Temple, Transportation Fund, 222 Mecca Drive, Macon, Georgia 31206. Mr. Butler was born in Dodge County, Georgia and grew up in Laurens County, Georgia. He moved to Macon in 1964. He worked in the car business in Macon and Warner Robins from 1964 until opening Bill Butler Volkswagen-Mazda in Warner Robins in 1979. He was also the owner of Bill Butler Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, from which he retired in 2009. Mr. Butler was a member of Temple Beth Israel and in November 1966 he became a member of Masonic Macon Lodge #5. He was a member of Al Sihah Shrine Temple and the Jesters. Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Inell "Shine" Butler. He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Butler of Macon; daughter, Lauri B. Mizell (Brian) of Kathleen; son, Jim Butler (Lana) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Laynie Mizell, Landri Mizell and Layla Mizell, all of Kathleen, Madison Butler, Logan Butler and Kaydon Butler, all of Warner Robins; brother, Jimmy Butler (Brenda) of Cadwell, Georgia; sister, Connie Stinson (Terry) of Dublin, Georgia and many beloved nieces and nephews.
