Betty Ann Pearson Oliver

Betty Pearson Oliver, 94, of Macon, GA, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Hart’s Chapel at the Cupola. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Betty was born near Fort Valley, Georgia on July 31, 1929, to the late James D. Pearson and Julia Hartley Pearson. After graduating High School and attending Georgia Southwestern College, Betty moved to Macon. She joined Ingleside Methodist Church where she remained a member for over sixty years.  She was employed with U.S. Fidelity and Guaranty Company for several years.

Mrs. Oliver is survived by her two daughters, Jenny McFadden and Debbie Stewart, both of Macon; son, David P. Oliver of Macon; grandson, Tommy Poore, Jr. (Tonia)  of Gray, Georgia; two great grandchildren, Trey and Megan Poore, both of Gray, Georgia; and personal caregiver, Tamaria “Candy” Small.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her husband, Warren H. Oliver, Jr.; son, Warren H. “Houdie” Oliver, III; and sister, Florine Phillips.
