Annie Joyce Jones McDaniel, 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, January 02, 2021. A private memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate her life.
Joyce was born in Byron, Georgia to the late William Howard Jones and Lucy Ella Hallman Jones. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Travis Jones; sister, Lynette Jones Sewell, and granddaughter, Stephanie Weis Koslow. Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Emmett Leon McDaniel of Macon; three daughters: Penny Weis (Vince) of Tamarac, FL, Dodi Good (Thane) of Macon, and Dina Atkinson (Jason) of Macon; Five grandchildren, Matthew Weis (Heidi), Bailey Good, Alex Good, Hunter Fleenor, and Carter Atkinson; and three great grandchildren, Sarah Koslow, Palmer Weis, and Paisley Weis; Sister, Mary Jane Gegogeine (Boyd) of Byron, GA; Brother, Kenneth Jones (Brenda) of Warner Robins, GA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce was talented and creative in many areas. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, sewing, painting, bird watching, and gardening. She was a Lifetime Member of the Master Gardeners of Central Georgia for many years. Joyce also loved family trips to Panama City and Jekyll Island. Joyce was a member of St Andrew Christian Church in Macon.
The family is eternally grateful to all the staff at Pine Pointe Hospice Navicent Health for the loving care they provided over the past few months.
