Alvin L. Robinson

Alvin L. Robinson, 79, of Haddock, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020. There will be a small private service Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 4:00pm. Following the service, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, there will be a drive-by viewing and opportunity to speak with the family on the norh end of the Jones County Chapel. Private burial will be held at Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Robinson was born June 22, 1940 in Riverside, Texas to the late Booker T. and Maggie Lee Jackson Robinson. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving for 21 years and was the former assistant director of Miami-Dade Solid Waste Department. Mr. Robinson was also a member of Hope for Today Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jacqueline Robinson and Marishall King.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Jane Robinson of Haddock, Georgia; children, Marc Robinson (Stephanie) of Miami, Florida, Loren Robinson of Homestead, Florida, Jinero Smith (Lenardo) of McDonough, Georgia, and Jessica Gilbert, also of McDonough, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Sheila Semien of Houston, Texas.
