Woodrow "W.R." Kight, Jr.

Woodrow “W.R.” Kight, Jr., 77, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Hart’s Chapel of the Cupola, with the Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service.

Son of the late Woodrow R Kight, Sr. and Camleet Calhoun Kight, W.R. was born in Vidalia, Georgia on June 15, 1945.  He worked as a barber for 60 years and was very active in his community.

W.R. is survived by his wife, Betty Branning Abbott Kight, of Macon; children, Chad Kight (Tracy), of Macon, Melinda Moore (Tommy), of Soperton, Georgia, Nicholas Kight (Heather), of Knoxville, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Hudson Kight, Averi Kight, Noah Moore, and Keegan Kight; and sisters, Hortense Driggers, of Soperton, Georgia, and Jacquelyn Waters, of Guyton, Georgia.
