Winifred Rose Harvey

Winifred Rose Harvey, 85, of 120 Plantation Road, Gray, Georgia died Sunday, November 10, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00AM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Harvey, daughter of the late Hazel and Ross Phillips, was born in Cherokee, Alabama, and moved to Bullard, Georgia at the age of five. She attended North Georgia College. Winnie Harvey loved tennis, gardening, butterflies, waterfalls, the beach and time at the lake. She was a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church until the church's closing. She was all about family, helping others and making our lives better. Winnie Harvey was predeceased by a sister, Jacque de Bedts, and a brother, Sonny Phillips. Winnie Harvey is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Fred Harvey; daughters, Elaine Garcia (Roy) and Delia Bridges (Jeff); son, Bill Harvey (Marisa); sisters, Margie Rabun and Dixie Tower; grandchildren, Charles Bridges (Meredith) and Ross Bridges (Candace); great-grandchilden, Rho and Ellis Bridges.
