William "Bill" "Paw" Newman

William "Bill" "Paw" Newman passed away on Wednesday, May 04, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Franklin Etheridge officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. Family will greet friends between 6:00-8:00PM Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Navicent Children's Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mr. Newman was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Collins Newman, born in Pembroke, Georgia. He was a dedicated truck driver with 50 plus years of service, finishing his career with YRC Incorporated. He was committed to his family, spending his free time enjoying family and friends. Mr. Newman was also predeceased by his brother, Malbern Newman. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jean Newman of Gray, Georgia; children, Brett Newman (Lisa) of Macon, Chad Newman (Autumn) of Lizella, Elaine Newman, and William Newman, Jr.; six grandchildren, Jake Newman, Cole Newman, Holly Newman, Aiden Newman, Peyton Newman, and Amanda Evans; and brother, David Newman of Pembroke, Georgia.
