William was born in Soperton, Georgia to the late J.W. and Jeanette Meeler on February 23, 1950. His grandparents were Lewis and Elsie Cammack Proctor. He went to high school in Treutlen County High School and graduated in 1969. He worked at Jim Walter Homes for 10 years before becoming disabled. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and a proud papa. He got great enjoyment out of spending time with his loved ones. While he was able, his passion was coaching his daughters in softball where he made an impact on many lives. He loved watching and formerly playing football and baseball. Being an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and Atlanta Braves fan, he tried not to miss a single game. William is survived by his wife, Anita Jordan Meeler of Macon, his oldest daughter, Natalie Woodward, son-in-law, Donny Woodward and their children, Larson and Reece, his youngest daughter, Nichole Kitchens and her children, Drue, Makaylee and Lance. Brother, Dale Meeler and a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws. Knowing that he is with Jesus Christ now gives us comfort, at the same time, we will miss him greatly. Thank you all who cared for him through his illness and to all whom have prayed for him and our family. Friends may sign the online register at www.hartsmort.com.
