William "Bill" Marshall Moses

William “Bill” M. Moses of Macon passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Friday, November 23, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 390 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00AM with a visitation at 10:00AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer or to the donor’s favorite charity.

Bill was born and raised in Lexington, South Carolina. He attended Georgia Tech where he received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree before receiving his PhD from North Carolina State University. Bill began his teaching career at Texas A&M University before moving to Macon in 1990 where he has since been a part of the faculty at Mercer University. He always enjoyed time with his family and being involved with Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen Moses.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sherie; and his children: Carole Ann, Ashley Toscano (Thomas), and David.
