William “Billy” Goguen

William “Billy” Goguen, 77, of Gray, died Friday, June 4, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with the Reverend John McGowan officiating. Burial will be in Elam Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:30P.M on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the funeral home.

Billy loved playing the saxophone and dancing.  He played in many groups including the Rhythm Kings, throughout middle Georgia.  He was also an animal lover and spent time training and showing german shepherds and horses. He was a self-employed master mechanic.  More than anything, Billy loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Goguen was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Louise Morgan Goguen; parents, Mack and Louise Goguen; and his brother, Charles Goguen.

Mr. Goguen is survived by his daughters, Trina (Randy) Herndon of Macon and Lisa (Johnny) McGowan of Gray; 7 grandchildren, Aaron Herndon of Atlanta,  Jessica (LeRoy) Reliford of Evansville, Indiana, Bailey (Mike) Polascik of Jacksonville, Alabama, Erica (Joe) Mathis of Gray, Will Herndon of Atlanta, Ian Herndon of Atlanta, and Morgan (Anthony) Whisler of Gray; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann (Doug) Dumas.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billy’s honor to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
