William Edward Edwards

Macon- William Edward Edwards, 93, of 559 Stone Edge Road, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4600 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mr. Edwards was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He was a Lieutenant Commander (Retired), United States Navy and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was the founder of Western Little League. Mr. Edwards was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Edwards is survived by his sons, Don Edwards (Rita) of Marietta, Georgia and Richard Edwards of Macon; grandchildren, Anna Edwards, Emma Edwards and Ryan Edwards; great-grandchildren, Ryland Bell and Rayland Burgamy.
