William "Bill" Williams, 92, of Macon went home to his heavenly Father on August, 16, 2014. Mr. Williams was born on July 26, 1922 in Danville, Georgia. He was retired after 30 years of service as a cost accountant at Robins Air Force Base. The family will greet friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Hart's at the Cupola on Peake Road. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. He was proceeded in death by his wife of fifty eight years, Elvie Harper Williams. As a dedicated father and husband, he was a true southern gentleman and made his family his priority. He loved animals and was a self-made craftsman who created many special gifts for his family in his workshop. He is survived by his daughter Pam Merwin (Charlie) of Adel; daughter, Tena Dominy (James) of Macon; son Gary Williams (Amy) of Macon; grandchildren Kelly (Greg) Wynn of Griffin, Dana Merwin of San Francisco, CA and grandson, Ryan Williams of Macon; nieces and nephew, Francis Murray of Milledgeville, Jo Coggins of Byron and John VanDerburgh. Bill is affectionately known as "Papa" by his great grandchildren, Anna and Rebekah Wynn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of him to the charity of their choice.
