William Howard Faircloth, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 28, 2017 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hart's Mortuary Cherry Street, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Father Vernon Knight will be officiating with a visitation half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. William was predeceased by his parents, William and Frances Faircloth, Sr. He was born in Macon and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was the star student at Mt. De Sales Academy in 1965 and then attended Georgia Tech where he earned a degree in Civil Structural Engineering. He spend his career in the kaolin industry in Georgia, Canada and Australia. Later in life, he worked for architects in structural engineering in Beaufort, SC and Atlanta. He was a licensed pilot and scuba diver, and was also interested in photography. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Perkins (Jeff) of North Chesterfield, VA; nephew Shane Perkins of Ashland, VA; cousins, Paula, Robert and Frank Russo of Sandford, FL and Carol and Ben Contella of Bloomfield, NJ.
